Cosmic Spectatorship and Vows
एवमुक्त्वा पुन: प्रायाद् द्रष्टमिच्छन् युधिष्ठिरम् । श्रमेण ग्राहयिष्यंश्व युद्धे कर्ण विशाम्पते
evam uktvā punaḥ prāyād draṣṭum icchan yudhiṣṭhiram | śrameṇa grāhayiṣyaṃś ca yuddhe karṇaṃ viśāṃpate ||
Sañjaya dijo: Dicho esto, partió de nuevo, deseoso de ver a Yudhiṣṭhira; y con la intención de hacer que Karṇa se fatigara aún más en la lucha, oh señor de los pueblos, se alejó de aquel lugar.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights prudent warfare aligned with dharma: seek guidance from the righteous leader (Yudhiṣṭhira) and employ measured strategy—wearing down a formidable opponent (Karṇa) through endurance and tactical pacing rather than impulsive aggression.
After speaking, the concerned warrior departs again, intending to meet Yudhiṣṭhira, while also aiming to increase Karṇa’s fatigue in the ongoing battle; Sañjaya reports this to Dhṛtarāṣṭra.
