Cosmic Spectatorship and Vows
महाराज! सब ओर भागनेवाले योद्धाओंके कारण आपके पुत्रोंकी वह विशाल सेना भयभीत और व्याकुल हो उठी ।।
tiṣṭha tiṣṭheti ca tataḥ sūtaputrasya jalpataḥ |
na avatiṣṭhati sā senā vadhyamānā mahātmabhiḥ ||
Dijo Sañjaya: Entonces, aunque Karṇa—hijo del auriga—no dejaba de gritar: «¡Deteneos! ¡Deteneos!», aquel ejército no se detuvo en absoluto, pues estaba siendo segado por los Pāṇḍava de gran alma. Con los guerreros huyendo por todas partes, la vasta hueste de los hijos de Vuestra Majestad quedó presa del miedo y la confusión, incapaz de afirmarse en medio de la matanza.
