Arjuna Breaks the Encirclement; Bhīma Reinforces

The verse underscores the grim impartiality of war: even the famed and powerful—mounted on chariots, elephants, and horses—are brought down. It implicitly warns that worldly glory (yaśas) and martial might are fragile when adharma-driven conflict escalates.
Sañjaya reports to the blind king Dhṛtarāṣṭra the intensity of the battle: enemy combatants are being cut down, with severed heads and arms, and their war-machines—chariots, elephants, and horses—collapsing onto the ground.
