Prelude to Karṇa’s Slaying
अपरे कृष्यमाणाश्रन विचेष्टन्तो महीतले । भावान् बहुविधांश्वक्रुस्ताडिता: शरतोमरै:
apare kṛṣyamāṇāś ca viceṣṭanto mahītale | bhāvān bahuvidhāṁś cakrus tāḍitāḥ śaratomaraiḥ ||
Dijo Sañjaya: Otros caballos, golpeados por flechas y jabalinas (tomara), eran arrastrados y se retorcían sobre el suelo, mostrando muchas formas de angustia y agitación. La escena subraya el impulso brutal de la batalla, donde incluso las monturas inocentes son arrastradas al sufrimiento por la violencia de los guerreros.
