Chapter 45

Sañjaya dijo: «(Se alzaron) muchos sonidos de flechas, junto con el resonante estrépito de hombres, caballos y carros.»
संजय उवाच
The verse offers no direct moral injunction; its ethical force is indirect—by vividly presenting the battlefield’s din, it highlights the grave human cost and intensity of war, inviting reflection on the consequences of kṣatriya violence and the weight of choices that lead to such destruction.
Sañjaya describes the immediate auditory scene of combat: arrows whistling and striking, and the loud, reverberating noise produced by warriors, horses, and chariots as the battle surges.
