Chapter 45
तमन्वयान्महाराज स्वयं दुर्योधनो नूप:,अशोभत महाराज देवैरिव शतक्रतुः । महाराज! विचित्र अस्त्र और कवच धारण करनेवाले सहोदर भाइयों तथा एक साथ आये हुए मद्र और केकयदेशके महापराक्रमी योद्धाओंद्वारा सुरक्षित साक्षात् राजा दुर्योधन दुःशासनके पीछे-पीछे चल रहा था। महाराज! उस समय देवताओंसे घिरे हुए देवराज इन्द्रके समान उसकी शोभा हो रही थी
tam anvayān mahārāja svayaṃ duryodhano nūpaḥ | aśobhat mahārāja devair iva śatakratuḥ ||
Sañjaya dijo: Oh gran rey, el propio Duryodhana, el soberano, avanzaba siguiendo por detrás. Protegido por poderosos guerreros—sus hermanos de sangre, armados con variadas armas y corazas, y los valientes combatientes de Madra y Kekaya que habían acudido juntos—resplandecía entonces, oh rey, como Indra (Śatakratu) rodeado por los dioses.
