हंस उवाच
The verse highlights restraint and timing in speech: a wise person may pause, reflect, and then speak—suggesting that ethical communication includes not only truthfulness but also appropriate timing and measured delivery.
The speaker identified as the Swan (Haṃsa) pauses briefly and then resumes speaking, marking a transition in the dialogue and indicating that a considered response or continued instruction is about to follow.
