Transliteration

gauryō bṛhatyō nirlīkā madrikāḥ kambalāvṛtāḥ | iti śrīmahābhārate karṇaparvaṇi karṇa-madrādhipa-saṃvāde catvāriṃśo 'dhyāyaḥ ||

Translation

«(Son) de tez clara, corpulentas, sin mancha: mujeres de Madra envueltas en mantas.» Así concluye el capítulo cuadragésimo del Karṇa Parva del Śrī Mahābhārata, en el diálogo entre Karna y el señor de Madra.
