कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
(तव प्रसादाद् वध्येरन् देव दैवतकण्टका: । स नो रक्ष महाबाहो दैत्येभ्यो महतो भयात् ।।
tava prasādād vadhyeran deva daivatakaṇṭakāḥ | sa no rakṣa mahābāho daityebhyo mahato bhayāt || tvaṃ hi no gatir avyagra tvaṃ no goptā mahāvrata | tvatprasādāt surāḥ sarve pūjyante tridive prabho || iti te śirasā gatvā trilokeśaṃ pitāmaham |
Dijo Duryodhana: «Por tu favor, oh Señor, esos Daityas que son espina para los dioses serán abatidos. ¡Oh de brazos poderosos!, protégenos del gran terror que inspiran los Daityas. Pues tú eres nuestro refugio sin turbación; tú eres nuestro guardián, oh maestro de gran voto. Por tu gracia, todos los dioses son honrados en el mundo celeste, oh soberano». Dicho esto, inclinó la cabeza y se acercó al Abuelo venerable, Señor de los tres mundos.
