कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
'भगवन्! आपने पहले हमलोगोंसे कहा था कि “मैं तुमलोगोंका हित करूँगा।” अतः उसे पूर्ण कीजिये ।।
bhagavan! āpane pūrvaṁ hamalogoṁse kahā thā ki “maiṁ tumalogoṁkā hita karūṁgā.” ataḥ use pūrṇa kījiye. sa deva-yukto ratha-sattamo no durādharo drāvaṇaḥ śātravāṇām | pināka-pāṇir vihito ’tra yoddhā vibhīṣayan dānavān udyato ’sau ||
Duryodhana suplica: “¡Oh venerable! Antes nos dijiste: ‘Obraré por vuestro bien’. Cumple ahora ese voto. Nuestro carro más excelso—fortalecido por poder divino—está ahí, irresistible, sembrando la derrota entre nuestros enemigos. Aquí, Śaṅkara, el que empuña el Pināka, ha sido designado como guerrero sobre él; está presto para la batalla, aterrando a los Dānavas.”
