The verse asserts the essential unity of Viṣṇu and Śiva (Bhava/Hara). By grounding battlefield irresistibility in divine identity, it teaches humility: when power is truly divine, mere pride or opposition cannot withstand it.
Duryodhana comments on an overwhelming display of force associated with Śiva’s weaponry, explaining the inability of certain beings to bear even the contact of Śiva’s bowstring and arrows by invoking the immeasurable divine splendor and the Viṣṇu–Śiva identity.
