कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line
युक्त्वा पाशुपतास्त्रेण त्रिपुरं समचिन्तयत् । तदनन्तर भगवान् रुद्रने धनुषपर प्रत्यंचा चढ़ाकर उसके ऊपर पूर्वोक्त बाणको रखा और उसे पाशुपतास्त्रसे संयुक्त करके तीनों पुरोंके एकत्र होनेका चिन्तन किया
yuktvā pāśupatāstreṇa tripuraṃ samacintayat | tadanantaraṃ bhagavān rudro dhanuṣi pratyāñcāṃ samāropya tasmin pūrvoktaṃ bāṇaṃ nyasya pāśupatāstreṇa saṃyojya trīṇāṃ purāṇām ekatrībhāvasya cintanaṃ cakāra |
Habiendo investido el proyectil con el arma Pāśupata, fijó su mente en Tripura. Luego el Bienaventurado Señor Rudra, al encordar su arco y colocar sobre él la flecha antes mencionada, la unió a la fuerza del Pāśupata y contempló el instante en que las tres ciudades se alinearían como una sola—obrando con deliberada contención y con un tiempo exacto, para que la destrucción fuese justa, medida y eficaz.
पितामह उवाच
Power is to be exercised with disciplined intention and right timing. Even divine force (Pāśupata) is not unleashed impulsively; Rudra first aligns means (weapon), mind (contemplation), and moment (the conjunction of the three cities) so that action serves cosmic order rather than mere violence.
Pitāmaha describes Rudra preparing to destroy Tripura: he strings his bow, places the designated arrow, empowers it with the Pāśupata weapon, and concentrates on the instant when the three fortresses become aligned—an auspicious/critical moment enabling a single decisive strike.
