Adhyāya 31
कृष्णेन सहित: पार्थों धार्तराष्ट्री महाचमूम् । अहन्यहनि मद्रेश द्रावयन् दृश्यते युधि,“मद्रराज! श्रीकृष्णके साथ अर्जुन प्रतिदिन हमारी विशाल सेनाको युद्धभूमिमें खदेड़ते देखे जाते हैं
kṛṣṇena sahitaḥ pārtho dhārtarāṣṭrīṃ mahācamūm | ahany ahani madreśa drāvayan dṛśyate yudhi ||
Sañjaya dijo: «Oh rey de Madra, Arjuna —acompañado por Kṛṣṇa— se ve en el campo de batalla día tras día, haciendo retroceder al vasto ejército de los Dhārtarāṣṭras.»
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the moral and practical force of steadfast effort guided by wise (and here, divine) counsel: even a numerically vast force can be driven back when leadership, skill, and right guidance act in harmony.
Sañjaya reports to the Madra king (Śalya) that Arjuna, fighting with Kṛṣṇa as his charioteer and guide, is repeatedly routing the Kaurava host on the battlefield, day after day.
