Transliteration

kārtavīrya-samaṃ vīrye karṇa-rājño ’gaman manaḥ |

Translation

Dijo Sañjaya: «Al ver el arrojo de Karṇa—igual a Kārtavīrya en poder, como Indra en la batalla y fuerte como las huestes de los Marut—la mente del rey Duryodhana se volvió hacia él, poniendo en Karṇa su esperanza y su apoyo como pilar de su empeño bélico.»
