संजय उवाच एवमुक्तो महाराज ततो दुर्योधनो नृप: । उत्तस्थौ राजभि: सार्धथ देवैरिव शतक्रतु:,संजय कहते हैं--महाराज! कर्णके ऐसा कहनेपर राजा दुर्योधन अन्य सामन्त नरेशोंके साथ उसी प्रकार उठकर खड़ा हो गया, जैसे देवताओंके साथ इन्द्र खड़े होते हैं

sañjaya uvāca evam ukto mahārāja tato duryodhano nṛpaḥ | uttasthau rājabhiḥ sārdhaṃ devair iva śatakratuḥ ||

Dijo Sañjaya: «Oh gran rey, cuando Karṇa hubo hablado así, el rey Duryodhana se puso en pie junto con los demás reyes aliados—como Indra, señor de cien sacrificios, alzándose con los dioses».
