आस्तां ते स्तिमिते सेने रक्ष्यमाणे परस्परम्‌ । सम्प्रसुप्ते यथा नक्तं वनराज्यौ सुपुष्पिते

Transliteration

āstāṁ te stimitē sēnē rakṣyamāṇē parasparam | samprasuptē yathā naktaṁ vanarājyau supuṣpitē, āptair āśu parijñātaṁ bhāradvāja-cikīrṣitam ||

Translation

Sañjaya dijo: Oh Rey, que esos ejércitos permanezcan allí—quietos, frente a frente—vigilándose mutuamente. Parecían dos lomas de bosque, ricamente floridas, vistas de noche como si durmieran. Entretanto, por medio de informantes dignos de confianza, se comprendió pronto y con claridad la intención de Bhāradvāja (Droṇa), aquello que se proponía realizar.
