इति श्रीमहा भारते भीष्मपर्वणि भीष्मवधपर्वणि सुनाभादिधृतराष्ट्रपुत्रवधे अष्टाशीतितमो<ध्याय:

Transliteration

iti śrīmahābhārate bhīṣmaparvaṇi bhīṣmavadhaparvaṇi sunābhādidhṛtarāṣṭraputravadhe aṣṭāśītitamo 'dhyāyaḥ

Translation

Así, en el venerable Mahābhārata, dentro del Bhīṣma Parva—en particular, en la sección relativa a la muerte de Bhīṣma—concluye el capítulo octogésimo octavo, que narra la muerte de Sunābha y de otros hijos de Dhṛtarāṣṭra. Este colofón señala el cierre de una unidad narrativa en la que la gravedad moral de la guerra se subraya mediante la caída de herederos reales y el avance inexorable del destino en el campo de batalla.
