अथान्येन सुतीक्ष्णेन सर्वावरणभेदिना । शतानीको जयत्सेनं विव्याध हृदये भूशम्,तत्पश्चात् समस्त आवरणोंका भेदन करनेमें समर्थ दूसरे तीक्ष्ण बाणद्वारा शतानीकने जयत्सेनके वक्ष:स्थलमें गहरी चोट पहुँचायी

Sañjaya dijo: Entonces, con otra flecha de filo extremado—capaz de atravesar toda clase de armaduras—Śatānīka hirió con violencia a Jayatsena en la región del corazón. La escena subraya la precisión sombría de la batalla, donde la pericia marcial y la intención letal se imponen al sentimiento personal, y donde el peso ético de la guerra se carga mediante la disciplina del deber, no mediante el odio.
