अभ्यवर्तन्त संक्रुद्धा: समरे शाल्वकेकयान् । सात्यकिश्रेकितानश्न सौभद्रश्न महारथ:,सात्यकि, चेकितान और महारथी अभिमन्युने समरभूमिमें कुपित होकर शाल्वों तथा केकयोंपर धावा किया

abhyavartanta saṅkruddhāḥ samare śālvakekayān |
sātyakiś cekitānaś ca saubhadraś ca mahārathaḥ ||
Dijo Sañjaya: Enardecidos en medio de la batalla, Sātyaki, Cekitāna y el gran guerrero de carro Saubhadra (Abhimanyu) se lanzaron hacia delante y cargaron contra los Śālvas y los Kekayas. El verso muestra cómo el krodha (ira) se convierte en acción decisiva en el campo de guerra, donde el valor y el deber se expresan en el choque directo con las filas enemigas.
