Adhyāya 70: Sātyaki’s Arrow-Display and the Bhūriśravas Engagement; Twilight Withdrawal
ब्रह्मभूतममावास्यां पौर्णमास्यां तथैव च । योगभूतं परिचरन् केशवं महदाप्लुयात्,जो मनुष्य तपस्यामें तत्पर हो संयम-नियमका पालन करते हुए अमावास्था और पूर्णिमाको समस्त देहधारियोंके आश्रय, ब्रह्म एवं योगस्वरूप भगवान् केशवकीः आराधना करता है, वह परम पदको प्राप्त कर लेता है
brahmabhūtam amāvāsyāṁ paurṇamāsyāṁ tathaiva ca | yogabhūtaṁ paricaran keśavaṁ mahad āpluyāt ||
Bhishma dijo: «En la noche de luna nueva y asimismo en la noche de luna llena, quien es devoto de la austeridad—observando el dominio de sí y votos disciplinados—y adora a Keshava, refugio de todos los seres encarnados y de naturaleza Brahman y Yoga, alcanza el estado supremo.»
भीष्म उवाच
The verse teaches that disciplined devotion—especially worship of Keśava with tapas, self-restraint, and observance of vows—leads to the highest spiritual attainment (the supreme state).
Bhīṣma is instructing about religious practice and spiritual merit, highlighting worship of Keśava on the sacred lunar observances of new moon and full moon as a means to reach the supreme goal.
