Description of the Dvīpa, Varṣas, and Mount Meru
सर्वकामफलास्तत्र केचिद् वृक्षा जनाधिप । अपरे क्षीरिणो नाम वृक्षास्तत्र नराधिप
sañjaya uvāca |
sarvakāmaphalās tatra kecid vṛkṣā janādhipa |
apare kṣīriṇo nāma vṛkṣās tatra narādhipa ||
Sañjaya dijo: «Oh señor de los hombres, en esa región hay ciertos árboles que conceden todo fruto deseado. Y, oh soberano, hay otros árboles llamados “Kṣīriṇa” que derraman sin cesar leche—dulce como el néctar e investida de los seis sabores—de modo que de sus frutos aparecen también, según la voluntad, vestidos y ornamentos.»
