भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः

पुरा किल सुरा: सर्वे ऋषयश्न समागता: । पितामहमुपासेदु: पर्वते गन्धमादने,पहलेकी बात है, समस्त देवता और महर्षि गन्धमादन पर्वतपर आकर पितामह ब्रह्माजीके पास बैठे
purā kila surāḥ sarve ṛṣayaś ca samāgatāḥ | pitāmaham upāseduḥ parvate gandhamādane ||
Dijo Bhīṣma: «Hace mucho tiempo, todos los dioses y los grandes rishis se reunieron. Se acercaron y rindieron servicio a Pitāmaha Brahmā en el monte Gandhamādana, buscando su presencia y guía en un asunto de sagrada importancia».
