भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः

Bhīṣma checks Bhīmasena; matched engagements intensify

नते युद्धान्निवर्तन्ते धर्मोपेता महाबला: । श्रिया परमया युक्ता यतो धर्मस्ततो जय:,वे युद्धसे कभी पीछे नहीं हटते हैं। धर्मबलसे सम्पन्न होनेके कारण ही वे महाबली और उत्तम समृद्धिसे युक्त हैं। जहाँ धर्म होता है, उसी पक्षकी विजय होती है

na te yuddhān nivartante dharmopetā mahābalāḥ | śriyā paramayā yuktā yato dharmas tato jayaḥ ||

Sañjaya dijo: “Tales hombres poderosos, firmes en el dharma, no se apartan de la batalla. Sostenidos por la fuerza de la rectitud, son verdaderamente grandes en vigor y están dotados de la más alta prosperidad. Pues donde se alza el dharma, allí sigue la victoria.”
