ननाद बलवतन्नादं भगदत्त: प्रतापवान् | उन सब महारथियोंको भयभीत और भीमसेनको मूर्च्छित हुआ देख प्रतापी भगदत्तने बड़े जोरसे सिंहनाद किया ।। ५३ है ।। ततो घटोत्कचो राजन प्रेक्ष्य भीम॑ तथागतम्
nanāda balavattan nādaṃ bhagadattaḥ pratāpavān | tato ghaṭotkaco rājan prekṣya bhīmaṃ tathāgatam ||
Dijo Sañjaya: El valeroso Bhagadatta lanzó un poderoso rugido, como de león. Al ver a aquellos grandes guerreros de carro sobrecogidos por el miedo y a Bhīmasena caído en desmayo, Bhagadatta bramó con toda su fuerza. Entonces, ¡oh rey!, Ghaṭotkaca, al contemplar a Bhīma en tal estado, se dispuso a responder—atraído por el peligro de su pariente en medio de la presión del combate.
