श्रुत्वा तु वचन तुभ्यमाचार्यस्य कृपस्य च । कर्णेन सहित: कृत्यं चिन्तयानस्तदैव हि,“उस अवस्थामें आपका, आचार्यका तथा कृपका वचन सुनकर मैं कर्णके साथ उसी समय अपने कर्तव्यका निश्चय कर लेता
śrutvā tu vacanaṃ tubhyam ācāryasya kṛpasya ca | karṇena sahitaḥ kṛtyaṃ cintayānas tadaiva hi ||
Dijo Sañjaya: Al oír aquellas palabras dirigidas a ti—pronunciadas por el Maestro y por Kṛpa—yo, junto con Karṇa, al instante me puse a deliberar sobre lo que exigía el deber y a resolver el curso de acción adecuado.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights prompt ethical deliberation: after receiving counsel from respected elders (Droṇa and Kṛpa), one should immediately reflect on kṛtya—what duty and necessity demand—before acting, especially in the moral pressure of war.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that, upon hearing the words spoken by Droṇa and Kṛpa, he (Sañjaya) together with Karṇa immediately began considering the required course of action—signaling a moment of strategic and dharmic decision within the Kuru camp.
