भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६२: वासुदेवमहात्म्यप्रशंसा (देव–ब्रह्मसंवादः)
शुशुभाते तदा तौ तु शैनेयकुरुपुड़वी । अमावास्यां गतौ यद्वत् सोमसूर्यो नभस्तले,उस अवसरपर (एक रथमें बैठे हुए) सात्यकि और अभिमन्यु उसी प्रकार शोभा पा रहे थे, जैसे अमावास्या तिथिको आकाशमें सूर्य और चन्द्रमा एक ही स्थानमें सुशोभित होते हैं
śuśubhāte tadā tau tu śaineya-kuru-puṅgavau | amāvāsyāṁ gatau yadvat soma-sūryau nabhas-tale ||
Dijo Sañjaya: Entonces aquellos dos—Śaineya (Sātyaki) y Abhimanyu, el más destacado entre los Kurus—resplandecían juntos sobre un solo carro, como la Luna y el Sol que aparecen en la misma región del cielo en la noche de luna nueva.
