Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes an ordered structure in creation: beings exist within a divinely or naturally apportioned framework, classified as moving and fixed, each abiding in its proper station—suggesting a moral vision of dharma as alignment with one’s appointed place and function.

Sañjaya continues his report to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra, summarizing a prior description that organizes living beings into divisions across a span of seven years, distinguishing mobile and immobile life as part of a broader account of cosmic or worldly arrangement.
