Daiva–Puruṣakāra Discourse and the Elephant-Corps Engagement (भीमगजानीक-सम्भ्रान्ति)
धर्मराजश्न तान् सर्वानिपजग्राह पाण्डव: । महता मेघवर्णेन नागानीकेन पृष्ठत:,तत्पश्चात् पाण्डुनन्दन धर्मराज युधिष्ठिर मेघोंकी घटाके समान हाथियोंकी विशाल सेना साथ लिये पीछेसे आकर उन सबकी सहायता करने लगे
sañjaya uvāca | dharmarājaś ca tān sarvān upajagrāha pāṇḍavaḥ | mahatā meghavarṇena nāgānīkena pṛṣṭhataḥ |
Dijo Sañjaya: Entonces Dharmarāja Yudhiṣṭhira, el Pāṇḍava, avanzó y tomó a todos bajo su amparo y apoyo. Desde atrás se acercó con un vasto cuerpo de elefantes, oscuro como una masa de nubes de lluvia, reforzándolos.
संजय उवाच
Even in warfare, dharma expresses itself as responsible leadership: Dharmarāja does not abandon allies but actively supports and protects them, embodying the ruler’s duty to uphold morale and safeguard his forces.
Sañjaya describes Yudhiṣṭhira moving in to assist his side, arriving from the rear with a large, cloud-dark elephant corps and thereby strengthening and protecting the troops already engaged.
