Daiva–Puruṣakāra Discourse and the Elephant-Corps Engagement (भीमगजानीक-सम्भ्रान्ति)
त्रासितेषु च सर्वेषु भीमेनाद्भुतकर्मणा । पुनरावर्तमानेषु विद्रवत्सु च सडूघश:,अद्भुतकर्मा भीमसेनके द्वारा भयभीत कर दिये जानेपर कलिंग देशके समस्त योद्धा जब दल बनाकर भागने और भाग-भागकर पुनः लौटने लगे, तब पाण्डव-सेनापति द्रपदकुमार धृष्टद्युम्नने अपने समस्त सैनिकोंसे कहा--“वीरो! (उत्साहके साथ) युद्ध करो”

trāsiteṣu ca sarveṣu bhīmenādbhuta-karmaṇā |
punarāvartamāneṣu vidravat-su ca saṅghaśaḥ |
Dijo Sañjaya: «¡Oh rey! Cuando todos quedaron presa del pánico por Bhīma, de hazañas asombrosas, y cuando los guerreros de Kalinga, en grupos confusos, huían y luego volvían una y otra vez, el comandante del ejército de los Pāṇḍava, Dhṛṣṭadyumna, hijo de Drupada, se dirigió a todas sus tropas: “¡Héroes, luchad—avanzad con valor!”».
