Daiva–Puruṣakāra Discourse and the Elephant-Corps Engagement (भीमगजानीक-सम्भ्रान्ति)
निपेतुरु्व्या च तथा विनदन्तो महारवान् | भरतनन्दन! कुछ गजराजोंके दाँत और सूँड़के अग्रभाग कट गये
sañjaya uvāca | nipetur urvyā ca tathā vinadanto mahāravān |
Sañjaya dijo: «Y cayeron a tierra, bramando con gritos poderosos. Oh descendiente de Bharata, a algunos elefantes señoriales les cortaron los colmillos y las puntas de la trompa; se les abrieron las sienes y sus jinetes fueron muertos. En tal estado, huyendo de un lado a otro, pisotearon sus propias formaciones, y al final—chillando con fuerza—se desplomaron en el suelo y murieron».
