भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय 54: फल्गुन-प्रतिरोधः, सौबली-व्यूह-विध्वंसः, दुर्योधन-भीष्म-संवादः

एते जनपदा राजनू्‌ दक्षिणं पक्षमाश्रिता: । पट्च्चर

ete janapadā rājan dakṣiṇaṁ pakṣam āśritāḥ | paṭaccaraḥ pauṇḍraḥ pauravaś ca tathā niṣādāḥ saha | pṛṣṭhabhāge tu svayaṁ rājā yudhiṣṭhiraḥ sthitaḥ | bhīmaseno dhṛṣṭadyumnaś ca krauñcapakṣiṇoḥ pakṣasthāne niyuktau | draupadeyāś cābhimanyuḥ mahārathaḥ sātyakiś ca saha piśācā dāradāḥ pauṇḍrāḥ kuṇḍīviṣāḥ mārutāḥ dhenukāḥ taṅgaṇāḥ parataṅgaṇāḥ bāhlīkāḥ tittirāḥ colāḥ pāṇḍyāś ca dakṣiṇapakṣam āśritya tasthuḥ || aniniveśyās tu huṇḍāś ca mālavā dānabhāryāḥ śabarā uddasā vatsā nākulāś ca | tayor ubhayor bhrātroḥ nakula-sahadevayoḥ vāmapakṣo 'śritaḥ ||

Sañjaya dijo: «Oh rey, estas fuerzas regionales tomaron su puesto en el ala derecha. Allí fueron colocados los Paṭaccara, los Pauṇḍra, los Paurava y los Niṣāda; y el rey Yudhiṣṭhira mismo se mantuvo en la retaguardia como sostén de la formación. Bhīmasena y Dhṛṣṭadyumna fueron designados para los dos puestos de las alas del orden de batalla ‘Krauñca’ (la grulla). Junto con los hijos de Draupadī, Abhimanyu y el gran auriga Sātyaki, los Piśāca, los Dāradā, los Pauṇḍra, los Kuṇḍīviṣa, los Māruta, los Dhenuka, los Taṅgaṇa, los Parataṅgaṇa, los Bāhlīka, los Tittira, los Cola y los Pāṇḍya permanecieron apostados, amparándose en el ala derecha. En el ala izquierda se dispusieron los Aniniveśya, los Huṇḍa, los Mālava, los Dānabhārya, los Śabara, los Uddasa, los Vatsa y los Nākula; y los dos hermanos, Nakula y Sahadeva, tomaron a su cargo aquella ala izquierda.»
