भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय 54: फल्गुन-प्रतिरोधः, सौबली-व्यूह-विध्वंसः, दुर्योधन-भीष्म-संवादः
इन्द्रायुधसवर्णाभि: पताकाभिरलड्कृत: । आकाशग इवाकाशे गन्धर्वनगरोपम:
sañjaya uvāca |
indrāyudhasavarṇābhiḥ patākābhir alaṅkṛtaḥ |
ākāśaga ivākāśe gandharvanagaropamaḥ ||
Dijo Sañjaya: Adornado con pendones de tonos como el arcoíris de Indra, aquel estandarte resplandecía aún más. Parecía desplazarse por el cielo como si se sostuviera por sí mismo, cual ave que surca el espacio abierto. Desde lejos se asemejaba a una ciudad celeste de los Gandharvas: una visión deslumbrante en medio de la aspereza del campo de batalla.
