Arjuna–Bhīṣma Strategic Engagement and Mutual Arrow-Interdiction (भीष्मार्जुनसमागमः)

The verse highlights the ethical force of rightful leadership: when a ruler like Yudhiṣṭhira issues a command aligned with duty, allied kings respond in unity. It reflects kṣatriya-dharma—obedience to legitimate command, coordinated action, and steadfastness in a just cause—while also showing how war amplifies collective resolve.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that, following Yudhiṣṭhira’s order, thousands of allied kings roar and charge together against the army of Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s son (Duryodhana), indicating a major coordinated assault in the battle.
