भारतामृतसर्वस्वगीताया मथितस्य च । सारमुद्धृत्य कृष्णेन अर्जुनस्य मुखे हुतम्‌,भारतरूपी अमृतराशिके सर्वस्व सारभूत गीताका मन्‍न्थन करके उसका सार निकालकर श्रीकृष्णने अर्जुनके मुखमें (कानोंद्वारा मन-बुद्धिमें) डाल दिया है

bhāratāmṛta-sarvasva-gītāyā mathitasya ca | sāram uddhṛtya kṛṣṇena arjunasya mukhe hutam ||

Vaiśampāyana dijo: De la Bhagavad Gītā—tenida por la esencia misma del Mahābhārata, semejante a néctar de amṛta—Kṛṣṇa, tras batir su sentido y extraer su núcleo concentrado, vertió esa esencia en la boca de Arjuna; es decir, la infundió directamente en su facultad interior mediante la enseñanza, para que Arjuna recobrara claridad sobre su deber (dharma) y firmeza de ánimo en medio de la crisis moral de la guerra.
