Field, Knower, Knowledge, and the Knowable
द्यूतं छलयतामस्मि तेजस्तेजस्विनामहम् । जयो<स्मि व्यवसायो<स्मि सत्त्वं सत्ववतामहम्,मैं छल करनेवालोंमें जूआः और प्रभावशाली पुरुषोंका प्रभाव हूँ। मैं जीतनेवालोंका विजय हूँ। निश्चय करनेवालोंका निश्चय और सात््विक पुरुषोंका सात््विकभावः हूँ
dyūtaṁ chalayatām asmi tejas tejasvinām aham | jayo 'smi vyavasāyo 'smi sattvaṁ sattvavatām aham ||
El Señor Bienaventurado declara: «Entre los que engañan, yo soy el juego de azar; entre los resplandecientes, soy el esplendor. Entre los vencedores, yo soy la victoria; entre los resueltos, soy la determinación firme; y entre los que permanecen en la bondad, soy la fuerza interior pura».
अजुन उवाच
All forms of power—splendor, victory, resolve, even the capacity for deception—ultimately arise from the same supreme source; therefore one must govern such capacities through dharma, cultivating sattva and using strength and intelligence responsibly rather than for adharma.
In the Bhīṣma Parva’s teaching discourse, the speaker enumerates manifestations of the divine in the world, identifying Himself with prominent forces and qualities—here, gambling among deceivers, brilliance among the brilliant, victory, determination, and sattvic strength.
