पुत्राणां तव दुर्धर्ष पाण्डवानां तथैव च । समकम्पन्त सैन्यानि परस्परसमागमे,दुर्धष नरेश! आपके पुत्रों और पाण्डवोंकी सेनाएँ एक-दूसरीके निकट आनेपर काँप उठीं
sañjaya uvāca | putrāṇāṃ tava durdharṣa pāṇḍavānāṃ tathaiva ca | samakampanta sainyāni parasparasamāgame ||
Sañjaya dijo: “Oh rey inconquistable, cuando las huestes de tus hijos y las de los Pāṇḍava se acercaron unas a otras, los ejércitos temblaron ante su encuentro mutuo.”
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the moral gravity and psychological weight of war: even mighty armies can tremble when facing kin in a righteous yet devastating conflict, reminding the listener that adharma-driven rivalry leads to fear, instability, and ominous signs.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that as the Kaurava and Pāṇḍava forces approach each other on the battlefield, both armies visibly shake—signaling tension and foreboding at the moment just before battle engagement.
