Bhīṣma-nipāta-saṃvāda — Sañjaya’s Report of Bhīṣma’s Fall (भीष्मनिपातसंवादः)
यस्मिज्जाते महावीरयें शान्तनुलोकविश्रुत: । शोकं दैन्यं च दुःखं च प्राजहात् पुत्रलक्ष्मणि
yasmiñ jāte mahāvīrye śāntanulokaviśrutaḥ | śokaṁ dainyaṁ ca duḥkhaṁ ca prājahāt putralakṣmaṇi ||
Dijo Dhṛtarāṣṭra: «Cuando nació aquel gran héroe—célebre en el mundo entero como hijo de Śāntanu—dejé atrás el duelo, la abatimiento y el dolor, pues apareció como una espléndida bendición en forma de hijo.»
