Shloka 55

न चेदेवं प्राप्तकालं वचो मे मोहाविष्ट: प्रतिपत्स्यस्यबुद्धया । तप्स्यस्यन्ते एतदन्ता: स्थ सर्वे सत्यामेतां भारतीमीरयामि,“दुर्योधन! यदि तुम मोहवश अपनी मूर्खताके कारण मेरे इस समयोचित वचनको नहीं मानोगे तो अन्तमें पछताओगे और इस युद्धमें ही तुम सब लोगोंका अन्त हो जायगा। यह मैं तुमसे सच्ची बात कह रहा हूँ"

na ced evaṃ prāptakālaṃ vaco me mohāviṣṭaḥ pratipatsyasi buddhyā | tapsyasy ante etad-antāḥ stha sarve satyām etāṃ bhāratīm īrayāmi |

Dijo Sañjaya: «Si, cegado por el engaño, no aceptas con entendimiento este consejo mío, tan oportuno, al final arderás de remordimiento. Todos vosotros estáis al borde de la destrucción: esta guerra será vuestro fin. Te lo digo como la verdad desnuda.»
