मध्येन कुरुसैन्यानां द्रावयामास वाहिनीम्‌ । उस समय सेनाके अग्रभागमें खड़े हुए धनुर्धर अर्जुनने कौरव-सेनाके भीतर प्रवेश करके आपके सैनिकोंको खदेड़ना आरम्भ किया

Transliteration

madhyena kurusainyānāṃ drāvayāmāsa vāhinīm |

Translation

Dijo Sañjaya: Arjuna, el arquero apostado en la vanguardia, se abrió paso dentro del ejército kaurava y comenzó a hacer retroceder a tus tropas, cortando a través del mismo centro de las formaciones kuru. El verso subraya el ímpetu de la resolución justa en la batalla: la pericia disciplinada, dirigida a un deber elegido, puede dispersar incluso a un ejército inmenso.
