Shloka 107
तस्मात् प्राणान् धारयिष्ये मुमूर्षुरुदगायने । यश्न दत्तो वरो महां पित्रा तेन महात्मना
tasmāt prāṇān dhārayiṣye mumūrṣur udagāyane | yasya datto varo mahān pitrā tena mahātmanā ||
Por ello, aunque anhele partir, sostendré mi vida hasta que el Sol tome su curso hacia el norte (uttarāyaṇa). Que se cumpla el gran don que me concedió mi noble padre: que yo encuentre la muerte sólo cuando yo mismo la elija. Hasta que llegue el tiempo señalado para abandonar la vida, retendré sin falta estos alientos en mí.
