Bhīṣma–Karṇa Saṃvāda on the Śaraśayyā (भीष्म–कर्ण संवादः शरशय्यायाम्)
आजजल्नुरर्जुनं संख्ये भीमसेनं च मारिष । माननीय प्रजानाथ! चित्रसेन आदि आपके पुत्रोंने भी युद्धस्थलमें तुरंत ही पाँच-पाँच तीखे बाणोंद्वारा अर्जुन और भीमसेनको घायल कर दिया
sañjaya uvāca | ājaghnur arjunaṃ saṅkhye bhīmasenaṃ ca māriṣa | mānanīya prajānātha citrasena-ādayaḥ putrās tava yuddhasthale tūrṇam eva pañca-pañca tīkṣṇa-bāṇair arjunaṃ bhīmasenaṃ ca vyathayan |
Dijo Sanjaya: “Oh rey venerable, en lo más recio de la batalla los hirieron a Arjuna y a Bhimasena. Tus hijos—Chitrasena y los demás—en el campo de guerra, con presteza, lesionaron a Arjuna y a Bhima, a cada uno con cinco flechas agudas, apremiando el ataque sin dar tregua.”
