पश्यामस्त्वां महाबाहो रथे सूर्यमिवापरम् । “आप युद्धमें सदा मण्डलाकार धनुषके साथ ही परिलक्षित होते हैं। महाबाहो! आप रथपर दूसरे सूर्यके समान विराजमान होकर कब बाण हाथमें लेते हैं, कब धनुषपर रखते हैं और कब उसकी डोरीको खींचते हैं, यह सब हमलोग नहीं देख पाते हैं
paśyāmas tvāṃ mahābāho rathe sūryam ivāparam |
Dijo Sañjaya: «Te contemplamos, oh de poderosos brazos, erguido en tu carro como un segundo sol. En la batalla se te ve siempre con el arco trazando un círculo perfecto; con tal rapidez tomas las flechas, las encajas en el arco y tensas la cuerda, que ni siquiera podemos percibir el orden de tus acciones.»
