भीमसेनस्य बहुमहारथसंयुगः

प्रहरास्मिन् नरव्याप्र न चेन्मोहाद् विमुहा[से । 'पार्थ! तुम्हें जिस अवसरकी अभिलाषा और प्रतीक्षा थी, वह आ पहुँचा। पुरुषसिंह! यदि तुम मोहसे मोहित नहीं हो रहे हो तो इन भीष्मपर प्रहार करो
sañjaya uvāca | prahārāsmin nara-vyāghra na cen mohād vimūhyase | pārtha! tubhyaṁ yasya avasarasya abhilāṣā ca pratīkṣā ca āsīt sa āgataḥ | puruṣa-siṁha! yadi tvaṁ mohena na mohyase tarhi etān bhīṣmaṁ prati praharā ||
Dijo Sañjaya: «¡Golpea ahora, oh tigre entre los hombres, si no estás extraviado por la ilusión! Oh Pārtha, ha llegado el momento que tanto deseabas y aguardabas. Oh león entre los hombres, si no te vence la confusión, dirige tus golpes contra Bhīṣma».
