Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha
सदार: ससुतश्रैव सस्नुषश्न दिवं गत: । धर्मके ऐसा कहनेपर वे उज्छवृत्तिवाले ब्राह्मण देवता अपनी पत्नी, पुत्र और पुत्रवधूके साथ विमानपर आरूढ़ हो स्वर्गलोकको चले गये
sadāraḥ sasutaś caiva sasnuṣaś ca divaṁ gataḥ | dharmake etadā kathanepara ve ujjhavṛttivāle brāhmaṇa-devatā ātmanaḥ patnyā putreṇa ca putravadhu-sahitā vimānam ārūḍhāḥ svargalokaṁ jagmuḥ ||
Dicho esto en nombre del dharma, el brāhmana divino partió al cielo con su esposa, su hijo y su nuera. Aquellos brāhmanas—tenidos por deidades—cuyo proceder había sido juzgado como caído, subieron al carro celestial y fueron al mundo de los dioses, mostrando que la verdad conforme al dharma y el reconocimiento moral pueden restaurar el honor y conducir a un fin excelso.
