Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha
विरजो ब्रह्मसदनं गच्छ विप्र यथासुखम् | सर्वेषां वो द्विजश्रेष्ठ दिव्यं यानमुपस्थितम्
virajo brahmasadanaṁ gaccha vipra yathāsukham | sarveṣāṁ vo dvijaśreṣṭha divyaṁ yānam upasthitam ||
El suegro dijo: «Oh brāhmaṇa, ve a tu gusto a la morada inmaculada de Brahmā, libre de la mancha del rajas (pasión). Oh el mejor de los nacidos dos veces, para todos vosotros está ya dispuesto un carro aéreo divino».
श्षशुर उवाच
The verse honors spiritual purity and merit: those who are ‘viraja’—untainted by rajas (passion)—are fit for Brahmaloka, and righteous persons are respectfully guided toward higher realms.
A father-in-law addresses a group of brāhmaṇas, granting them leave and directing them to proceed comfortably to Brahmā’s abode, indicating that a divine vehicle has arrived to carry them.
