Marutta’s Sacrifice and Agni’s Embassy (मरुत्त-यज्ञे दूतत्वम्)
इन्द्र वाच सर्वान् कामाननुयातो<सि वित्र यस्त्वं देवानां मन्त्रवित्सुपुरोधा: । उभौ च ते जरामृत्यू व्यतीतौ कि संवर्तस्तव कर्ताद्य विप्र
indra uvāca—sarvān kāmān anuyāto ’si, vipra; yas tvaṃ devānāṃ mantravit supurodhāḥ | ubhau ca te jarāmṛtyū vyatītau; kiṃ saṃvartas tava kartādya, vipra ||
Indra dijo: «Oh brahmán, has alcanzado todo goce deseado, pues eres el sacerdote erudito de los dioses, conocedor de los mantras sagrados. Incluso has trascendido la vejez y la muerte. ¿Qué podría hacerte ahora Saṁvarta, oh brahmán?»
