The verse highlights dharmic hospitality and respectful conduct: even amid a major royal rite like the Aśvamedha, one should honor guests, offer rest, and act with courtesy while continuing one’s duty.
During the Aśvamedha proceedings, Arjuna addresses a respected person (the honored guest/king) and invites him to stay one night comfortably in his own residence, then resume the next day the task of accompanying the sacrificial horse.
