बभ्रुवाहन-धनंजययोः संग्रामः
Babhruvāhana and Dhanaṃjaya’s engagement at Maṇipūra
कुरुध्व॑ सर्वकार्याणि महद् वो भयमागतम् । एष योत्स्यामि सर्वास्तु निवार्य शरवागुराम्,“तुम अपने सारे कार्य पूरे कर लो। तुमलोगोंपर महान् भय आ पहुँचा है। यह देखो--मैं तुम्हारे बाणोंका जाल छिजत्न-भिन्न करके तुम सब लोगोंके साथ युद्ध करनेको उद्यत हूँ
kuru dhvaṁ sarvakāryāṇi mahad vo bhayam āgatam | eṣa yotsyāmi sarvāstu nivārya śaravāgurām ||
Vaiśampāyana dijo: «Cumplid de inmediato todas vuestras tareas necesarias; un gran peligro ha caído sobre vosotros. Mirad: tras contener y quebrar vuestra red de flechas, ahora estoy listo para combatir contra todos vosotros».
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the kṣatriya ethic of meeting danger directly: when a grave threat arrives, one should act decisively, complete urgent duties, and face conflict with steadiness and readiness rather than panic.
A warrior issues a warning to opponents: they should finish their preparations because a major peril has arrived. He declares that he will break through their defensive ‘net’ of arrows and engage them all in battle.
