The passage underscores that rightful counsel and legitimate authority in a dharmic order carry moral weight: willful defiance—especially when driven by anger and conquest—invites severe consequences. It also shows how a kṣatriya enforces order through decisive action when warnings are ignored.
Arjuna, furious, warns a group of warriors (Saindhavas) that if they prepare to fight against his instruction, they will suffer and fall into great peril. After issuing this warning, he proceeds to fight them, driven by anger and the opponents’ desire for victory.
