सा मुहूर्त च राजेन्द्र पुत्रशोकाभिपीडिता । कश्मलाभिहता वीर वैराटी त्वभवत्‌ तदा,वीर राजेन्द्र! पुत्रशोकसे पीड़ित वह विराटकुमारी उत्तरा उस समय दो घड़ीतक मूर्च्छामें पड़ी रही

sā muhūrtaṃ ca rājendra putraśokābhipīḍitā | kaśmalābhihatā vīra vairāṭī tv abhavat tadā ||

Vaiśampāyana dijo: Oh rey, héroe, oprimida por el dolor de su hijo y vencida por el desmayo, la princesa de Virāṭa, Uttarā, yació inconsciente por un breve rato.
